1/11/20 15/100 1995 Ford F-150 4x4

It’s odd to see such platform sharing with competitors, yet this F-150 shared the same dimensions and base with the Chevy K-1500 pickup that arrived a year after the Ford’s 1995 release.  Since then the Chevy has seen more use that the Ford, which is a shame since the Ford is just as nicely done.  The front has the updated 1992 look with smoother headlights and front grille, while the sides show a long-bed regular cab profile with dual gas cap doors and a long bed with rollbar and no back window.  The lifted stance is a bit too much and causes the (rather small) body the sway more in the corners, while the interior has a detailed bench seat and dashboard from the F-series.  The first release with the middle two-tone look is the best, but this beach patrol truck isn’t too far behind; if only this F-150 was lower and slightly bigger it would be a great casting.
