1/20/20 24/100 Lamborghini Countach

Now back to Lamborghini for the Countach, and Matchbox has made a few of them over the years with the first being the original, clean, wedge-shape concept of the early 1970’s with an opening hood, leading down to the current, winged Countach introduced in 1987 and just a few years before the successor Diablo arrived.  Like the others in this series it has a clean look in yellow, though it lacks the lighting details for the side Lamborghini and bull on the lower sills that has been used since 1998.  The wedge profile is recognizable as a Countach with flared fenders, taller NACA ducts, and a metal rear spoiler.  The working suspension remains, though it makes the car stand taller than it actually is, while the plastic base offers nice details of the motor it makes the car feel cheap in hand, and yes there is an interior though the windows are too tinted to see much and you won’t miss much as it is very basic with no fine details of the controls on the dashboard.  Unlike the other Italian exotics in this series the Countach seems a bit cartoonish and lacking the fine details that would define a Matchbox casting.
