1/9/20 13/100 Dirt Bike

Matchbox also started to get into making all-terrain vehicles of different types and some of them have riders molded to fit the handlebars and seats, and this dirt bike is one of them.  It sure does look like the real bike with rubber tires on lace wheels, plastic handlebar with dual headlights and trees, detailed V-twin motor, seating for two, and the separate side exhaust.  The rider is a nice touch with the handlebars going through the hands and the feet having an extra tab to hook to the pedal rests; the rider is removable, which can be a disadvantage when looking for a second hand used one (if the rider is still there) and without the rider the handlebars can turn freely and make the plastic front vulnerable.  The bike rides good and handles well…until you turn left and the kickstand gets in the way.  Today Matchbox has revived the dirt bike, but now in more licensed liveries thanks to Jurassic World and without the riders, yet still this generic from 2000 looks as realistic as the modern counterparts.
