2/4/20 39/100 NASA Rocket Transporter

Joining the X33 for usable spacecraft is this NASA Rocket Transporter that debut back in 1985 when Matchbox was also making NASA branded vehicles for the company.  The Rocket Transporter does dual lives as a rocket and as a jet transporter (more on that one later on), so you can see the imprints at the back for the rocket (round) pad in the middle and the when cloaks (on the sides of the circle) for the jet plane.  The rocket is two plastic cylinders that come together to form a rocket and mount on the vehicle as a launch pad and then let imagination take flight!  I should mention this is the only vehicle without the X33 spacecraft on the sides, but the Mission tampos do relate to the other models in the series, and yellow gives a nice caution to working launch pad.  The vehicle is actually based on the real NASA launch pad transporter that is about 1,000 times larger than this scale model and slightly different in design, but both use the same feature.  While the launch pad vehicle can only travel 1 mph, this truck can probably do about 50 mph. max with the rocket not on the pad, and powered by a diesel motor to the two tandem rear axles instead of the engine acting as generator to the 16 electric motors that move the real launch pad.  A very novel vehicle that looks proper with the rockets over the plane.
