3/16/20 80/100 2000 Chevrolet Suburban

It was long overdue for Matchbox to make the big Chevy Suburban, but in 2000 it finally happened and was offered in two versions: the premiere emergency version with opening doors and this civilian version for the regular line.  Starting off with white body and gray base was not a good idea for a first run as it makes the Suburban look dull, but the details are there.  The front-end has that smooth split-bar look first seen on the 1999 Silverado casting and looks great here; though in order to fit the long truck in package the truck is rather narrow and small.  The sides feature exterior mirrors, large doors, and running boards, while the rear has detailed taillights, liftgate, and a trailer hitch for towing.  The base shows off the detailed drivetrain with one feature that is different from the Silverado in this generation: coil springs for the rear axle, and the truck has a working suspension though the wheels seem kind of small.  The interior has the same dashboard and 4-spoke steering wheel layout as the Silverado with large front seats, seating for three in the second row, and a first for a regular SUV a third row in the back with enough cargo space just behind.  The Suburban is still in use today and has fared a few decent decos, but most of them are rescue versions and some have some loud graphics to hide the nice Suburban casting lines.
