While the ML has returned for 2000 and that includes a first edition introduction to the U.S., the first release was in the ROW line in 1999 shown here in this sleek burgundy color.  As mentioned before Matchbox waited until the V8 model arrived in 1999 to replicate the new ML SUV and not only is it more powerful and stylish it also adds some practical features like a working suspension, open sunroof, running boards, and a trailer hitch for towing.
