4/18/20 14/75 Jaguar XJ6

A casualty of the Tyco era was another retool that joined the Transit in this line is the Jaguar XJ6.  When this casting first came out in 1986 it had a metal body with opening doors and a metal base with Jaguar stamped in the front bumper.  By 1992 this casting was updated to feature a plastic base without the Jaguar name on the front bumper and no opening doors and despite being the same model it just feels different from the 1980’s Universal era tooling.  This one comes in blue with the Union Jack across the sides of the car, leaving the front with the round headlights and separate chrome grille, and the rear with the louvered taillights devoid of any tampos.  Even the rear plate that once had Jaguar is now gone, sadly, and the interior is more basic in gray than the rich butterscotch color with opening doors of the early version.  The base shows off the drivetrain and the working suspension both remain on this car and while it did look like the end of this model it actually got a few more uses in the mid-2000 before it was finished.
