4/8/20 11/75 BMW 328i Police

The new BMW 3-series sedan was introduced in 1998 and Matchbox made a replica of the sedan in 1999 and for 2000 alongside the worldwide coupe introduction the ROW line also gets another version of the sedan: the police version.  Using the same sedan tooling the police adds a very Euro-centric light bar that has two square blue lights on the ends and a white paint job with a rather odd fire department logo on the doors.  The new 3-series is sleeker with smoother quad headlights, twin kidney grille, larger lower grille in the bumper, and the return of dogleg taillights at the back. The interior shows off seating for five with a dashboard that while nicely done are so large it makes the front seat space rather cramped.  With a working suspension this 3-series sedan is quite fun on the track with excellent handling reflexes like a proper BMW should be, and as for the sedan’s use?  Well, the coupe got more use than this sedan and this police version got a bit more use than the stock sedan and most of the time was spent in the ROW line.
